The Queen's 90th Birthday Week Celebrations

This week the whole of year 3 have been studying Britain in the 1960s as part of the celebrations for her Majesty The Queen, as it is just one of the many decades she has reigned as Queen for.

We had to study three songs from the swinging sixties, these are: Congratulation by Cliff Richard, Twist and Shout by The Beatles and RESPECT by Aretha Franklin.

We even performed a dance and whole year group assembly to year 1, they were really impressed :)

Here are our 1960's catwalk models, don't they look groovy?!
Here we have Aretha Franklin and her backing singers.
 And The Supremes

Sarehole Mill March 2015

We had a fun filled day at Sarehole Mill learning all about the people of the Stone Age. We explored Mosley Bog where there is a Bronze Age sight believed to once be used as a sauna to clean themselves.
